The opportunity to increase successful outcomes is outlined below:
Responsibilities: A psychiatrist at LBHH will lead their treatment team, comprised of social workers, nurses, mental health technicians, creative arts therapist, and other staff depending on the specific unit and population needs, to assess, plan for, evaluate and treat the individual rather than the diagnosis and/or symptoms.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday day shift with a standard caseload of 16 patients; weekday on call work for additional payment; weekend rounding and weekend on call work optional for additional payment.
Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital will focus on the care of those seeking general psychiatric acute care in addition to a number of specialty inpatient services.
Older Adult/Psych Med Population Designed for older individuals or those that have both mental and physical health needs.
Inpatient Dual Diagnosis Population Designed for patients that have a primary psychiatric diagnosis and have chemical dependency and/or a documented substance abuse disorder. Individuals within this population will need help and guidance to navigate both mental health and substance abuse recovery.
Adolescent Population Designed for individuals that are between the ages of 13-17. In addition to providing the treatment that begins mental health recovery, academic and community support will be integral to ensure success with adolescents.
Women’s Trauma Population Designed as a gender-specific collaborative program that focuses on helping women through traumatic history.

This position is specific for a Board Prepared or Board Certified Psychiatrist. Requirements then are that the successful candidate would have a degree as an M.D. or D.O. with proven residency training in Psychiatry.
